Theodore Richard "Teddy" Landes
(December 22, 1957 - August 22, 2007)

WAYNESBORO - Theodore Richard "Teddy" Landes, 49, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007.

He was born December 22, 1957, in Waynesboro, a son of James David Landes and Regis (Yaple) Landes.

Teddy was a 1976 graduate of Waynesboro High School. He was a certified auto mechanic after attending Valley Vocational Technical Center, and had worked for the city of Waynesboro for 19 years.

He enjoyed vegetable gardening and will be remembered as a devoted family man.

He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Landes; and his mother-in-law, Maurice Lucas.

Surviving are his mother, Regis "Reggie" Landes; his wife, Sharon "Winky" Landes; sons, Cody Landes and his fiancée, Naomi Houghtaling, and Corey Landes and his girlfriend, Amanda Drumheller; sisters, Marcia Short and her husband, Freddie, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Karen Landes, of Waynesboro, Linda Lundas and her husband, Mike, of Staunton, and Kathy Toms and her husband, Greg, of Fishersville; brothers, James G. Landes Jr., of Nellysford, and Philip Landes, of Cary, North Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Bradley. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery by Fr. Rolo Castillo.

Pallbearers will be Timbo Quick, Garland Coffey, Shane Coffey, Stacy Comer, Randy VanDevander and Matthew VanDevander.

There will be no formal visitation, but friends can call on the family anytime at the home of Diane and Garland Coffey, 1787 Mount Torrey Road in Lyndhurst.
